Lead with Calm

Helping overwhelmed dogs and their owners achieve calm, connected walks through emotional regulation and practical skills.

Most loose lead training focuses on control. Lead with Calm focuses on the cause. Dogs will often pull on the lead more when they are experiencing fear, frustration, overwhelm, or over-excitement. Traditional methods often fail as they don’t take the emotional state of the dog into account. The dogs emotional and physiological state are interlinked and when a dog is in a state of physiological stress, this affects how they learn and the behaviour they are able to perform. If your dog still pulls on the lead despite training, this may be the missing piece.

The 3-Step Framework

Understanding your dog’s different emotional states, stress signals, and being able to recognise them on a walk

  2. Regulation

  3. Skill Building
